The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition.
Traces of apparently inactive, historic woodworm throughout, all redecorated at various dates, all probably originally giltwood.
Minor repairs to the underframe and joints of the giltwood example, the rear left-hand leg with later corner block to underside and visible screw to joint to rear. Front feet slightly retipped. Decoration worn and upholstery grubby.
The painted fauteuil with possibly original corner blocking to the underside, the feet all slightly retipped. Some light cracking, mainly to joints. Upholstery relatively clean.
Caning to side chairs redone at some time and in good order, cushions relatively clean.
The decoration to all a little grubby chipped and worn.
Overall minor knocks, chips, scratches and wear consistent with age and use.
In generally good structural condition overall.
