The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

CASE: With surface dirt and dust, some firing cracks and small losses. Extensively sprayed. The trident later replaced. Restoration and overpainting evident. Upper section with figure broken off through and repaired; left and right rocaille moulding restored; further damage and restoration to the figure of Neptune, extent of spray makes discerning exact damage difficult.
DIAL: Generally clean, small chip to winding hole.
MOVEMENT: Later platform lever escapement and subsequent vacant holes to the plates. Plates and motionwork a little dirty and tarnished.
