One of the earliest publications on numismatics, illustrated with over 500 woodcuts. Adams S1916.

Quarto (242 x 167mm). Guerin's woodcut device on title with arms of Johann Jakob Fugger on verso, three fine woodcut crible initials, nearly five hundred woodcut medallions in text, errata leaf L4 bound at end (lacking the final blank, title and first gathering soiled and repaired, some small marginal chips and browning to gathering B, small marginal repairs to leaves I4 and K1 just affecting a couple of letters, occasional light browning, heavier towards end, final gathering soiled, washed and repaired). Modern vellum by Sangorski and Sutcliffe.
