    40 x 100mm, Kodak, ink on verso slightly faded.

    From the road, he sends Marianne his photo and a note: “Darling, Truly happy you are with someone. Enjoy every day you have. Forget the Mary letter. I was just nervous at the time. I’m going to Rome next week and was going to drop in on you but it will be better if you have the time alone with your friend. Leonard.”
