Autograph letter signed (“Leonard”) to Marianne Ihlen [California, c.1970s].

One page, 200 x 150mm, ink on lined paper with two holes punched at upper margin (lower margin uneven, torn from a larger leaf).

Back with Roshi, his Zen master, Cohen extends an olive branch. “I forgot what I was angry about. Lost your telegram, left it in Montreal.” He relays that Suzanne will be in Hydra for some time and tells Ihlen to “call her for details.” “Everyone is welcome everywhere, or something like that. All good things, Leonard.”
