Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The work is structurally sound. Very slight rubbing is to the extreme edgs and a fine linear abrasion is to the lower right extreme edge. Losses, some with slight yet stable lifting, are scattered to the black painted passages. Drying cracks and small areas of stable lifting are scattered to the gold leaf painted passages, likely in keeping with the artist's working method and nature of the medium. A staple is to center. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
