The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
CASE: The glass plate with bevelled edges and chamfered lower angles. Overall in good condition with minor nicks to the edges and light surface scratches evident. A small shard loss behind the left hand gilt-brass mount. Some tiny inclusions to the glass overall. The two gilt brackets to the marble plinth with some light tarnishing. The marble plinth in good condition with a minor chip to the leading edge.
DIAL: The white enamel chapter ring with light ingrained surface dirt. Light surfaces scratches. The gilt-bronze bezel and inner mount with mild tarnishing. A 0.5 cm. hairline crack near '2'. The dial with three retaining mounts to the glass, the lower one with a possibly later square retaining nut. The hands both with light surface dirt and minor oxidisation. The painted cypher with blue background lightly crazed overall.
MOVEMENT: The motionwork overall with light surface dirt and tarnishing. The wheelwork to the backplate is slightly oily and the movement would benefit from a clean and a service.
