The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically at the edges to the backing board. The lower and vertical edges of the sheet are deckled, and artist's tack-holes are to the corners. Tiny drying cracks are scattered, and a few minute losses to the uppermost layer of pooled paint are to the center and left of center, in a light blue painted passage, in keeping with the artist's working method. Tiny spots of stray media are occasional. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
