The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work has not been examined unframed and without its backing board. Minor wear is to the corner-tips and turning edges. A tiny loss is to the upper left corner-tip and a tiny scuff is to the upper right corner-tip. A small indentation is to the lower left corner in a pink painted passage, possibly inherent to the board. A few possible artist's skips and pinpoint accretions are occasional. A pinpoint loss is below center to the leftmost figure's shirt in a light blue painted passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
