The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. The edges of the canvas are covered by its frame. There are some fine hairline cracks in the upper left quadrant. There are some scattered white media splashes. There is a pattern of fine hairline cracks to the orange and red passages in the lower half of the composition and the black passages near the lower horizontal edge. There are some pinpoint fly spots in places to the orange passages. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
