The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board. Pinholes are visible to the corners, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. Faint wear is visible to the extreme corners and a small, soft crease is faintly visible to the lower right corner. A pinpoint spot of foxing is visible to the center left edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
