Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner tips and intermittently along the edges and undulates slightly. The right edge of the sheet is unevenly cut and deckled, and a hole is near the center, likely inherent to the sheet. Minor wear is to the corner tips with a few minute associated tears scattered to the extreme edges. A small tear is to the upper right quadrant within the read. Some impasto peaks are gently compressed and have adhered to the frame glazing, most notably to the upper third of the sheet. A few handling indents and soft creases are also to the extreme edges. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
