The canvas has been subject to relining; this is held under tension and remains stable. Examination in natural light shows some thinning to the dark tones. There is some minor scattered restoration to the sky and to some of the plumages, and a vertical damage near the left edge. The paint is stable. Examination under UV confirms the aforementioned restoration. There is an old varnish that has been selectively cleaned.
