The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Examined within the plate hanger. No cracks or restorations detected. Some fritting in places at the rim. Two small and unobtrusive losses to the glaze to the raised lines of the rightmost figure; one in his head and one in his right foot. Some pitting in the glazed areas, inherent to the medium. Light surface dust in places. The underneath with a few tiny chips to the foot rim. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the present work appears to be in generally very good condition.
