The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board and undulates slightly. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone and the edges are irregular. A few artist's pinholes are to the edges and corners. Wear, including tears, creases, handling marks, spots of stray media and losses to the support are to the edges and margin, in keeping with the artist's working method and choice of media. Adhesive residue is visible occasionally, most notably to the margin, in keeping with the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
