The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are very slightly deckled with faint discoloration. A vertical fold mark is apparent to the left side across the sheet. Minor foxing and handling marks is intermittently scattered across the surface. Upon close inspection, a few negligible hairline creases are visible along the edges. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Faint traces of paper consolidation corresponding to the aforementioned fold mark and to the lower edge. Slight transfer mark of the seal. Cappellin's seal and reference number 299. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
