The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged in places on the reserve to its underlying support. The sheet undulates slightly with associated minor creasing to the extreme edges. There is minor discolouration to the extreme edges and some minor rubbing to the unpainted passages of the sheet. There is a minor fold to the upper right corner. There is a minute loss to the upper left corner and a tear left of the centre of the upper horizontal extreme edge. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
