Pencil, crayon and watercolour on paper, squared for transfer. The sheet is hinged to the backboard by two tabs to the upper edge. There is some old tape to the reverse of the upper edge. On close inspection there is a horizontal crease which runs along the upper edge of the sheet, consistent with the artist’s working technique. There are two artist’s pinholes in the upper corners and one to each lower corner. On close inspection there appears to be faint staining to the extreme edges as a result from the acidic mount, from which we would advise removal. On very close inspection there appear to be one or two very small spots of foxing. The graphite is strong and subject to the above the work appears to be in very good condition.
