The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue entry:
- with wide margins, presumably the full sheet
- some tiny traces of white pigment in the subject at lower centre (only visible upon close inspection)
- a flattened vertical fold in the centre of the right margin (mainly visible in a raking light)
- handling indentations across the sheet (mainly visible in a raking light)
- some tiny and unobtrusive fox marks and tiny spots of stray printing ink in places in the margins
- paper hinging tape along the upper sheet edge verso to the front mount
- minor skinning at the upper sheet edge verso associated with the removal of old hinges
