Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage qui a pu tasser la matière picturale par endroits. Le support est stable.

A la lumière rasante, on constate quelques retouches dans le fond noir et les carnations.

A l'UV, on constate les observations susmentionnées ainsi que quelques restaurations sur le visage du saint. Le tableau est sous un vernis épais qui empêche de voir d'éventuelles campagnes de restauration antérieures.

Dans un cadre en bois doré sculpté, travail moderne (approx. 66 x 47 cm.).

The canvas has been subject to relining; it is held under tension and remains stable. The relining process has flattened the picture surface in areas.

In raking light some retouching in the background and flesh tones can be seen.

Examination under UV light confirms the above observation, further retouching can be seen in the saint's face. The thick varnish precludes a more in depth examination of the painting.

In a modern carved wooden frame (approx. 66 x 47 cm.)
