The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The artwork is an oil painting executed on a wood panel which has been inscribed on the verso with pencil. Ultraviolet examination reveals a normal fluorescence of the artist's materials as well as careful in-painting covering small abrasions and stains, primarily at the center right. The wood is splitting in horizontal striations across the painting. The piece is clean and in very good condition. It has been recently protected by a layer of synthetic resin varnish and requires no treatment.
