Destins

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil and pencil on board. Possibly slightly varnished. One artist’s tack hole at each corner and a few further ones along the extreme edges. Two or three minute paint losses at the tip of the upper left corner. A vertical line of surface irregularity running through the composition towards the left edge, inherent to the nature of the support. A very few potential small passages of soft surface abrasion mainly along the left edge. Examined under ultraviolet light: no apparent retouching. Subject to the foregoing it is or opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Huile et graphite sur carton. L’œuvre est possiblement légèrement vernie. Un trou de punaise fait par l’artiste à chaque coin et de rares autres le long de l’extrémité des bords. Deux ou trois minuscules manques de peinture à l’extrémité du coin supérieur gauche. Une ligne verticale d’irrégularité de surface courant le long de la composition vers le bord gauche, inhérente à la nature du support. De très rares potentiels petits passages de légère abrasion de surface, principalement le long du bord gauche. Examiné à la lampe à ultraviolets : aucune retouche apparente. Sous réserve de ce qui précède et selon notre opinion, cette œuvre apparait en très bonne condition générale.
