The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The edges are slightly deckled with faint discoloration. Fine horizontal fold marks apparent predominantly on the lower half of the paper. Faint creases, negligible pinpoint foxing and minor handling marks are visible occasionally on the surface. Three traces of old restoration are visible at the upper right corner, upper right edge, and lower right corner. On the reverse, the condition is consistent with the aforementioned condition observed on the front. Three strips of yellow tape correspond to the aforementioned restoration areas. Three strips of white strip possibly resulting from a previous framing method and may be remouvable. Cappellin's seal and reference number 272. Subject to the foregoing, it is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
