La peinture est exécutée sur une plaque de cuivre relativement épaisse ne présentant aucun signe de courbure concave ou convexe.
Le tableau présente bien à la lumière naturelle, les détails du paysage, le feuillage des arbres et l'architecture étant bien préservés. Les glacis les plus pâles ont subi un léger amincissement, notamment sur les personnages en train de nager dans le coin inférieur gauche. Le long du bord supérieur et du bord gauche de la plaque de cuivre, on constate des traces d'abrasion du cadre, qui ne sont pas visibles lorsqu'elles sont encadrées. L'ensemble est recouvert d'un vernis relativement épais.
L'examen sous lumière UV montre que la peinture est bien conservée. On constate quelques retouches éparses dans le ciel et un renforcement des détails du paysage à l'arrière-plan.

The painting is executed on a copper plate, this is relatively thick and does not so show any sign of either concave or convex bowing.
The painting presents well in natural light with the details of the landscape, the foliage of the trees and the architecture well preserved. There has been some slight thinning to the paler paint glazes, notably in the swimming figures in the lower left-hand corner. Along the upper hand, and left hand edge of the copper plate there is evidence of some frame abrasion, this is not visible when framed. The whole is under a relatively thick varnish.
Examination under UV light shows that the painting is well preserved. The nature of the materials used appears to be relatively recent. There is some scattered retouching in the sky, and some strengthening to the details of the landscape in the background.
