The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing to the left two corners. There are a few minor fly spots in places. There are three very minor horizontal rubbing marks along the lower edge, one of which measures 20cm. These are only noticeable under close inspection. There are handling marks to the extreme left and right vertical edges. These are not visually distracting. When examined under ultraviolet light, there are a few minute spots of fluorescence probably associated with the artist's studio. There is no sign of retouching. Subject to the foregoing it is our view that the work is in very good condition.
