The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. There is a thin layer of surface dirt. There are a few minor losses and bits of rusting in places, noticeably to the inner left side of the flap, around some of the screws, and to the large turnscrew's edges, these are in keeping with the artist's chosen medium. There is a minor bit of wear to the lower right corner, and the lower left edge, due to natural ageing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in generally very good condition.
