The Rolex Daytona may have started off as a tool watch but over the years, the brand has presented the iconic chronograph in many glamourous iterations starting with the Ref. 6269, Ref. 6270, and the Daytona “Beach” models in the 2000s.

The Rainbow Daytona models in yellow gold and white gold were released in 2012, before the Everose gold reference in 2018. The Rainbow version have since become the most desirable modern Daytona references. The bezel is set with 36 baguette-cut sapphires in a rainbow gradation, framing a black lacquer dial with counters made with gold crystals. The mid-case set with 56 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Due to the nature of its production, these models were made in very limited edition and have an artisanal-like quality, proven by the gem-setting on the bezel. As a result, demand for these Rainbow Daytonas has far outstripped supply.

OVERALL CONDITION: Very good

CASE: Very good. Has had a case refresh at the hands of a professional. The proportions are intact and the gem-setting is nice and clean. Gold hallmarks are clearly visible on the caseback

DIAL: Nice, clean and original

MOVEMENT: Ticking at the time of cataloguing. The chronograph is working. However, a service is recommended.

BRACELET: Has had a refresh, in very good condition.
