The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor rubbing in places to the extreme edges. There is some discolouration to the centre left vertical edge and lower right quadrant, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There is a pinpoint accretion to the lower right horizontal edge. There is a faint hairline abrasion to the lower right quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light there is a historic repair to the upper left quadrant which fluoresces in a manner consistent with retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
