Copper-engraved map, 364 x 485mm on 480 x 574mm sheet, with contemporary hand-coloring (browning, edges worn, a few spots, light wear at centerfold). Latin text on verso. There is a portrait of Sultan Mehmed II, who conquered Constantinople and brought an end to the Byzantine Empire, above the cartouche.
