The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- pale time-staining, darkening at the edges.
- a faint inky finger print in the upper left margin.
- very faint handling marks in the lower left subject, visible in raking light.
- with old paper tape hinges at the upper edge verso.
