The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged to the backing board at the corner-tips and periodically along the vertical edges and undulates very slightly. The left and right edges of the sheet are deckled and minor wear is to the corner-tips and extreme edges. Visible under raking light and close inspection, two fine abrasions are near the left center extreme edge in a black painted passage and another is to the lower left quadrant in a black painted passage. A few pinpoint losses are occasional, most notably to the upper left corner-tip in a white painted passage. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
