The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is relined and wax lined. The work is treated with a protective varnish. Mild frame abrasions, faint stretcher bar impressions, tiny stable losses and pinpoint accretions are to the edges. Craquelure with associated stable pinpoint losses are scattered. Visible under ultraviolet light, minute spots of inpainting are scattered.
