Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheet is hinged in two points at the upper edge on the reverse to its underlying support. There is minor rubbing to the edges of the image in places, due to the mount, only visible under strong raking light, and a few further scattered minute points of rubbing to the margin in places, not affecting the image. There is a pinpoint indentation from the reverse to the upper right corner, presumably occurring in the artist's studio. Subject to the above, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
