The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
With some minor wear to enamels and rubbing to gilt; some firing flaws in the making; typical tiny chips to the applied flowers and foliage; small firing lines and other minor flaws in the making; further details enumerated below.
The lemon seller- Impressed 19. Generally good condition; small restorations to the front corners of her purple napkin and to several fingers on her proper left hand. No chromium was found in the green enamels during XRF testing.
The grape seller- Restoration to his hat, right-hand fingers, basket handle, right knee, the edge of his coat below the basket, and to the straps of his scales. There were no available greens to test for chromium.
The radish seller- Impressed 19. Restoration to her right arm from the elbow to her hand, to a chip to the edge of her dish and to many of the radishes upon it (mainly their tips). No chromium was found in the green enamels during XRF testing.
The walnut/herb seller- Indistinct impressed numeral or cypher. Generally in good condition, restoration to some chips to her apron near the knife. Chips to the leaves in her bucket. No chromium was found in the green enamels during XRF testing.
