The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No cracks detected. An area of loss to the terracotta at the upper corner. Some chips in places along the upper left, upper right and lower right edges. Four areas of white inpainting to the moustache. Some surface dirt and handling marks in places. Some small and unobtrusive networks of crazing in places to the left side of his face, inherent to the medium. The reverse with an area of loss to the terracotta at the lower left edge, and a smaller one at the extreme lower right edge.
