Churchill at the Acadia Conference. A candid portrait of Churchill relaxing in coveralls during what was also known as the First Washington Conference (ARCADIA being the code name for the meeting). Coordinating with the United Kingdom established a Combined Chiefs of Staff to coordinate planning while establishing the defeat of Germany as the highest priority of the war.
