Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This work has not been examined unframed. The sheet undulates slightly and artist's pinholes are to the corner-tips and periodically along the edges. Handling marks are occasional, most notably to the edges and likely a vestige of the artist's working method. A tiny loss is to the upper right quadrant in a blue colored passage. Visible under close inspection, fine surface scratches and possible abrasions are occasional, most notably to the black colored passages. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light. A faint inactive mold pattern is visible to the reverse backing board and frame, most notably to the lower edge.
