MB&F has long been celebrated for redefining traditional watchmaking with daring innovation and distinctive design. Introduced in 2014, the Legacy Machine 101 exemplifies this spirit, born from the collaboration of two independent watchmaking, Kari Voutilainen and Max Büsser.
While its 40-mm round case retains a classic form, the dial tells a different story, showcasing a mesmerising 14-mm suspended balance wheel, dramatically held beneath a sculpted bridge. This architectural design offers a captivating view of the escapement in action, highlighting MB&F’s technical expertise.
A domed crystal enhances the watch’s striking three-dimensional presence, while two lacquered sub-dials, one displaying the hours and minutes, the other a 40-hour power reserve are positioned asymmetrically for a distinctive and unconventional aesthetic.
