The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The sheets appear to be hinged in places on the reverse to their underlying support. The edges of the sheets are deckled. The sheets undulate slightly. Some areas to the extreme edges have darkened and there are some scattered handling marks. There are faint water marks in places and scattered media splashes, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There is some minor rubbing with associated pinpoint losses to the gold elements, most visible to the calligraphic element in the upper part of the right panel and presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
