The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condition good. Some small scratches and nicks to the metal throughout, consistent with normal wear. Clip fittings with good tension (although they might benefit from tightening).
- Additional marks: one clip signed VC&A., the other signed VC&A.N. possibly for VC&A NY.
- Sapphires: with typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, some small scratches and nicks to facets throughout, a few with more noticeable chips.
- Rubies: with typical inclusions, a few surface reaching, some small scratches to facets throughout.
