The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This work is still on its original stretcher. The canvas is lined. The paint layer is stable. Slight weakness has developed in the headland and in the schooner in the far distance. There is one area of retouching in the lower center sky above the headland. The work can be hung as is.
