The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne, légèrement aminci et renforcé par une bande verticale de toile au centre. Il est biseauté sur trois côtés et on constate des traces horizontales de rabot.
Le panneau est stable.
A l'oeil nu, on constate d'anciennes restaurations ayant viré dans les fonds (au niveau de la jointure des planches) ainsi que sur quelques personnages et drapés. Le tableau possède des rehauts d'or bien préservés sur la Vierge et autour de l'Enfant Jésus.
A l'UV, on constate des retouches dans les drapés du personnage en bas à gauche ainsi que sous la paille au centre. On constate des reouches dans les drapés bruns des personnages de gauche.
Le tableau est sous un vernis épais dissimulant les anciennes campagne de restauration.

The painting is executed on an oak panel, this has been slightly thinned and reinforced by a vertical strip of canvas to the center. It is beveled on three sides, with visible horizontal plane marks. The panel is stable.
In natural light old restorations are visible, having discolored in the background (along the join between the boards) as well as on some of the figures and in the draperies. The gold highlights on the Virgin and around the Christ Child are well preserved.
Under ultraviolet light, retouching can be seen in the costume of the figure at the lower left, as well as beneath the straw in the center. Additional retouching is visible in the brown draperies of the figures on the left. The painting is covered with a thick varnish that may conceal earlier restoration campaigns.
