The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with deckle edges above and below.
- with stray black ink in the upper and left margin, presumably intrinsic to the printing of this impression.
- a reverse fox mark to the left of the P in the signature.
- a few scattered fox marks in the margins and verso.
- pale toning at the sheet edges, and verso.
- the sheet has been previously washed by a conservator, with faint residual mount-staining visible under UV light.
- the signature and numbering slightly effected by this treatment, the graphite pencil slightly softened.
- some filled-in thin spots at the sheet corners and centre edges verso, from old hinges.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
