Study for Chimney in Mornington Crescent

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The sheet appears to be hinged in places on the reverse to its underlying support. The upper centre of the sheet appears to be slightly unhinged from the mount. There are artist’s pinholes to the upper corners. The upper horizontal edge is deckled and uneven. On close inspection there is a fine crease to the upper right edge, lower right corner and lower left corner. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
