The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Presenting well overall, ready to place. The printed sections with the expected fading, yellowing, light scratches, scuffs and general wear. Some infill, patches and repairs to small areas of loss or tearing; there is an flake in the southern Atlantic Ocean which has not been touched up, revealing a white underlayer. The stands and frames in good overall condtiion, with scattered age cracks, small repairs and loss and touch-ups to the painted decoration. Overall with general marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The compass needle to the top of the armillary sphere is detached but present, and can be placed. Overall good condition.
