Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
A faint layer of dust is overall and an unevenly applied varnish layer is present. Rubbing, wear, and occsaional pinpoint losses are to the extreme edges and corners. A few hairline cracks, visible primarily under extreme raking light, are near the edges. A minute loss is below center. An embedded accretion is to the lower register, presumably a vestige of the artist's working method. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
