The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Both busts are made of clay: the surface is very fragile.

-The female bust with the drapery:
There are rubbed areas, dust and chips consistent with age.
Some losses including to her proper left eye lid, some locks, the back of the drapery and the edges of the lower part.
Traces of restorations, including to her nose, breast and the back.
The bust has been possibly refixed to its proper clay base.
The marble base with restorations to the edges and minor chips.

-The naked female bust:
The surface is completely weathered, with losses to the volumes.
Some restorations including to her nose and lips.
The signature is slightly erased.
The bust has been refixed to its proper clay base.
The marble base with restorations and minor chips to the edges.
