Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas is taut and the paint layer is stable. Occasional fine hairline cracks mainly on the upper left quadrant and extreme lower edge, which are visible only upon very close inspection. Minute abrasions on the extreme lower edge. Two very faint scratches on the lower side of the work (approx. 1-2 cm). Surface irregularities on the lower left corner. Minute paint losses on the extreme lower and upper right corners. A small surface loss on the left edge of the white perplex square. When examined under UV light, no apparent retouching shown. It is in our opinion that the work is in overall good condition.
