The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Both overall with wear and minor losses to the enamel, with some minor wear and tiny scratches to the silver, the shorter with metal violin seemingly re-attached and with some minor glue residue at the neck, the taller with mother-of-pearl violin, with neck of the violin broken off with old glue residue at the base, now off but can be held in position, also with further wear, losses, grime, and possible restoration to his hands, face, and hat, and some losses to the ankles, with some splits around the clock face, the clock face seemingly a later replacement, with a paper face as opposed to enamel, the ebonized wood base with some wear and rubbing to the ebonizing, along with some minor nicks and scratches, a few losses to the borders, the drawer seemingly previously broken and now glued back together.
