Le tableau est peint sur sa toile d’origine. La toile est tendue sur un châssis à clés, bordé le long de ses quatre bords par une baguette de bois.
A l’œil nu, le tableau se présente dans un bel état, avec une belle préservation de la palette de couleurs dans les verts et les rouges. On devine des restaurations ponctuelles dans le ciel. Le tableau est sous un vernis assez sec.
A l’UV, l’examen révèle une campagne de restauration dans le ciel, avec des retouches ponctuelles et des zones de restauration plus importante le long du bord droit, bordant les architectures, et le long du bord supérieur au centre. On constate des restaurations ponctuelles dans l’église Saint-Marc ainsi qu’une restauration plus importante dans le coin inférieur droit. Le tableau est sous un vernis assez opaque, non homogène.
La matière reste stable.
Dans un cadre en bois doré (approx. 101,5 x 126,5 x 5 cm).

The painting is unlined, it is held on a keyed stretcher further supported by wooden batons to each edge.
In natural light, the painting presents well, with the palette of greens and reds well preserved. Some minor scattered retouching can be seen in the sky. The painting is under a fairly dry varnish.
Under UV light, examination reveals a restoration campaign in the sky, with occasional retouching and areas of more extensive restoration along the right-hand edge, bordering the architecture, and along the upper edge in the centre. There is some scattered retouching in the church of San Marco and more extensive restoration in the lower right-hand corner. The painting is under a fairly opaque, uneven varnish. The paint remains stable.
In a giltwood frame (approx. 101.5 x 126.5 x 5 cm).
